POSITION TITLE: Research Associate 2 – Histology

Salary range: $60,000 - 70,000 per year depending in experience

ABOUT THE ROLE

This position supports critical laboratory operations by conducting experiments, collecting and analyzing data, and collaborating closely with senior researchers and colleagues. This is hands-on position ideal for individuals with a strong foundation in scientific research and a desire to grow in a supportive and fast-paced environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Bench work including histology, immunostaining, immunofluorescence, cryosectioning, microtoming
Assist in designing, conducting, and executing laboratory experiments under the supervision of senior researchers
Receive, catalog, and store study samples appropriately
Maintain accurate electronic records of all procedures and results
Assist with quality control of assays and troubleshooting protocols
Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment
Assist with adding experimental data to study reports and documentation
Support digital pathology efforts by performing or assisting with slide scanning
Participate in meetings to review and interpret experimental data
Use electronic systems to log and report findings
Follow Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards and safety protocols

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Demonstrated ability and commitment to work collaboratively within a team
Bachelor's degree in a related scientific discipline
At least 5 years of experience in laboratory research
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and common laboratory software

Preferred qualifications:

Experience in histology
Prior experience in a pharmaceutical or biotech setting
Relevant certifications
